Tara received her B.A. degree in Psychology in 2008 and went on to receive her master’s degree in Exercise and Nutrition Science in 2014 from Lipscomb University. Her journey began as an overweight and sedentary teenager. After a brief recovery from bulimia, Tara became overwhelmed with “health” information and “food rules”. She turned to over-exercising, fad diets, and eventually anorexia. This left her very sick, malnourished, and completely confused as to what true health and wellness looked like. When her doctor told her she may not be able to have children from the damage done to her body, she was determined to become truly healthy. During the grueling two years of recovery, she hoped she would someday become an advocate for wellness.

Tara believes that when it comes to nutrition and exercise, we are not all created equal and there is no “one size fits all” approach to health and wellness. She is familiar with many diet plans (GAPS, Paleo, Elimination, GF/CF, etc.) as well as many exercise programs. She holds a certification in Group Exercise and has been a group facilitator for Journey to Healthy Living. Tara desires to empower and equip her clients with the tools necessary to live a life full of energy and vitality. She is passionate about your journey to health and would love to guide you along the way!

Tara feels incredibly blessed to have been able to heal her body and naturally birth two beautiful baby boys. She enjoys working out, singing, photography, and educating others about essential oils. She is also attempting to become a decent blogger at The Fit Hippy.
